Recruiting Buzz: Holifield, a three-star prospect, is a little bit of an unknown commodity. An assistant coach at Godby has referred to Holifield, who didn't start playing organized football until this past season, as a diamond in the rough. The Hurricanes love the athleticism of the basketball/track standout. He impressed them at a summer camp in which he worked at defensive end, outside linebacker, receiver and tight end. The 'Canes' top tight end at the end of this past season was Clive Walford, a former basketball standout. They can only hope Holifield progresses as well.
