Fort Lauderdale fortune teller Rose Marks' parents' grave in Alexandria, Va. Her father, Steve ¿Boyo¿ Eli, was a well-to-do landowner and a respected Romani judge who mediated and ruled on disputes within the Gypsy community over land, inheritances, marriages, divorces and the payment of dowries. Her mother was a psychic. Steve Eli's mother, a psychic, predicted he would die at age 72 and he did, the family said.
