CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -

For 38:35 Virginia had possession of the football. But in the 21:25 Oregon did, they used 69 plays for 557 yards en route to a 59-10 victory over the Wahoo’s Saturday.

“They did a good job, we didn’t do a good enough job,” said Head Coach Mike London.

Less than two minutes into the game, Oregon Quarterback, Marcus Mariota, ran for 71 yards and a TD to give the Ducks their first score. After a long 45 yard TD run by Khalek Shepherd near the end of the 1st quarter, it became all Oregon.

“We gave up some big plays early and got our team behind,” said Safety Anthony Harris.

In Quarterback, David Watford’s second career start, the Redshirt Sophomore went 29 of 41 for 161 yards but threw three picks and fumbled once resulting in four UVa turnovers.

The ‘Hoos will get a bye week in week three before hosting VMI at Scott Stadium September 21.
