1992 -- Dave Winfield, Candy Maldonado and Joe Carter each hit two-run homers, powering the Toronto Blue Jays to an 8-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
1997 -- Kent Alm had four hits, including a home run, and Rich Russman had a double among his three hits to lead Wendy's-Busch-Lager's to a 13-6 amateur baseball victory over Dahme Construction during the regional tournament in Watertown. Wendy's went on two win the region championship with a 9-7 come-from-behind win over Huron behind five hits from Jay Kusler and three by Matt Mohr.
2002 -- Arizona's Randy Johnson scattered five hits over eight innings and struck out 14 batters, improving to 7-4 on the season, as his Diamondbacks defeated the Florida Marlins 9-2. Johnson, with 3,641 career strikeouts, moved into fifth place on the all-time list.
2007 -- Taylor Morsching pitched a no-hitter, striking out six, and Mitch Babcock and Brendon Hoellein drove in two runs each to lead the Aberdeen 15-16 Teeners to a 5-0 win over Yankton in the first round of the State AA 15-16 Teener Tournament in Sioux Falls.
2011 -- Cliff Lee pitched eigth innings of four-hit ball with 10 strikeouts and two walks plus helped himself with a home run to boost the Philadelphia Phillies to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
