Tuesday Boys' Basketball Catch-All Dec. 11

North made a statement tonight, Goddard Eisenhower continued its winning ways and a surprise undefeated start for El Dorado all add up to an excellent start to week three of the winter season. Catch up on all the action below.

GWAL

The 6A No. 3 North Redskins shut down 5A top-ranked Kapaun Mt. Carmel 75-44. It wasn’t just Conner Frankamp going off as usual, but Tarius Williams and Zach Beard added 13 and 11 points, respectively. Frankamp finished with 34 points.

Heights continued its rocky start as it fell 74-58 to East. Heights’ Semaj Harvey led all players with 21 points and East’s Samajae Jones finished with 20 to lead his team.

Northwest held South to just three fourth-quarter points to pull out a 43-40 win. South’s Jordan Moore finished with 19 points.

Southeast was able to hang on against a pesky West squad 68-64. Southeast’s Reggie Smith scored 20 points in the win.

AVCTL

Derby blew Maize out of the water in a 74-48 domination. Hutchinson strolled past Campus 75-45. Salina South edged Newton 56-52. Salina Central had no problems with Maize South 58-27.

Goddard Eisenhower showed why it’s the No. 8 team in 5A as it bounced Andover Central 63-56. Kevin Harris’ 19 points for Ark City wasn’t enough in a 63-50 loss to Andover. Valley Center came away with a 62-51 win over Goddard.

El Dorado remained undefeated on a shot at the buzzer over Buhler 41-40. McPherson wiped the floor with Mulvane in a 78-52 win. Winfield slipped past Rose Hill 70-66.

Andale demolished Wellington 68-26. Augusta embarrassed Circle 67-50.

CPL

Wichita Trinity couldn’t miss in a 71-43 rout of Belle Plaine. Ryan Miller led all scorers with 17 points for Trinity. Chase Banister finished with 27 points to lead Douglass to a 65-56 win over Bluestem. Medicine Lodge took down Chaparral 53-40. Cheney pulled out a 64-61 overtime win over Independent. Conway Springs beat Garden Plain 51-40 in the first chapter of the basketball version of the Cardinal-Owl rivalry.

CKL

Halstead won a 39-38 squeaker over Hillsboro. Haven beat Kingman 61-51. The Swathers of Hesston did just enough in a 45-40 win over Pratt. Lyons was able to down Smoky Valley 38-27. Sterling didn’t have much trouble with Nickerson in a 61-55 win.

Others

Hays dominated Junction City in a shootout 84-64. Otis-Bison didn’t have much of an answer for Ellinwood in a 59-40 blowout. Topeka Seaman barely beat Shawnee Heights 70-69. Solomon took down the Teutons of Inman73-62. Ell-Saline held Canton-Galva to low points in a 42-18 win.

Little River won again against Hutch Central Christian 79-71. The Oilers of Central Plains fell to St. John-Hudson 57-40. Fairfield was able to come away with a 66-52 win over Stafford. Phillipsburg downed Thomas More Prep 59-48. Minneapolis dismantled Ellsworth 58-42. Offense was on demand in Pike Valley as the Panthers lost to Smith Center 82-70.
