It's almost football season. No, not the NFL and college football, we mean soccer. The Chicago Fire released its MLS schedule Wednesday, and if we were you, we'd be circling the following dates:

March 3 at Los Angeles: Nothing like starting the season against the two-time defending champs on their field.

April 20 vs. Columbus: This is the only time the Fire play arguably their biggest rival. They've gotta make it count.

Sept. 1 vs. Houston: Think the Fire will be looking for payback against the team that knocked them out of the 2012 playoffs? You betcha.

Oct. 27 at New York: The Fire were fighting for playoff positioning in the final match last season. It definitely could happen again.
