Martinsville -

Race weekend at Martinsville is less than three weeks away and Tuesday several drivers tried to get the jump on the competition buy using one of their allotted test sesssions at the half mile track.
Four of the Sprint Cup Chase competitors were among those who took some turns on the tight oval Tuesday--Roush Fenway drivers Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle, along with Kurt Busch and the sport's most recent winner Kevin Harvick who is now up to third in the standings.
Of the 11 drivers there today, only Busch and Harvick have wins at Martinsville so they had plenty of reasons to test there, unlike some of the other Chasers, including Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon who are Martinsville masters.

" It's tough to know what everybody's strategy is in the Chase.  They might be out of tests or saving them for later," said Busch. "I would say that the Gibbs cars run well here and the Hendrick cars run well here and that's about nine or ten cars.  They're not gonna be here so they've got this one checked off the box."
