Former Hokie basketballer Erick Green got a taste of the NBA on the Denver Nuggets summer league team, but Green will instead play this season overseas.
The Winchester product has signed a one year deal to play for the Italian Club, Siena next season.  But the Nuggets, who picked up Green in a draft night trade with Utah, will retain his rights.
The ACC Player of the Year last season, Green figured to be the odd man out in Denver, since the club had signed guards Randy Foye and Nate Robinson to go with Ty Lawson.
In Italy, he'll gain some valuable playing experience and won't have to worry about being assigned to the NBA's Developmental League.
