CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- First-year Virginia coach Mike London says it's always good to put a team in position to have success early in the year, and he's done that.
The Cavaliers figure to have more on Saturday when VMI visits Scott Stadium.
The Keydets are 1-1, but are coming off a 45-0 loss at William & Mary. VMI also hasn't had a winning season since 1981 and lost its last trip to Charlottesville, 42-0.
Virginia has split its first two games, but dispatched Richmond with ease and then played No. 20 Southern Cal very close two weeks ago before losing 17-14 on the road.
Both teams come into the game after being off last week.
