Maryland Knocks Off Tech while Virginia Blows Out Clemson

     The Hokies hosted Maryland Thursday night at the Cassell hoping to avenge last month's 23 point loss to the Terps in College Park.  Senior Erick Green certainly did his part, scoring 16 first half points, and finishing with a game high 29 as Tech grabbed a 27-24 lead at halftime.  Cadarian Raines chipped in with 14 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 blocks but Tech couldn't get over the hump late and dropped its 5th straight game 60 to 55.
