ATLANTA, Ga.—
Virginia's men's basketball team got back on the court Thursday night, after a week of rest following that loss to Duke last Thursday. The team took on Georgia Tech in the home of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, Philips Arena.
No signs of rust from the Cavaliers.
This Wahoo Defense is so tough, the second best D in the country in terms of points allowed. A tough Jontel Evans bucket helped spur a 13-2 run in the first half.
Scary moment at the end of the half. Mfon Udofia missed, but Assane Sene landed awkwardly. Looked like an injured ankle, he had to be helped off the court and did not return.
That was the only thing that went wrong though.
Scott had a game-high 18, Virginia never trailed in this one and wins big, 70-38. The Cavaliers are now 15-2.
It was the Yellow Jackets' lowest point output since 1982.
