The Virginia Cavaliers are getting a big boost defensively with the return of linebacker Steve Greer whose torn ACL caused him to miss the bowl game in December against Auburn.
Greer has led the team in tackles in two of the last three seasons and he has 254 career stops.
He was voted a team captain earlier this year and is one of just five returning defensive starters.
But the senior is simply thankful for another opportunity to get back on the field.
