Virginia's basketball team hosts Boston College at 9pm Thursday. The Wahoos are hoping for better shooting numbers than their last time out, an ice-cold performance against Virginia Tech.
UVa was held to a season-lows in points in the 47-45 loss. The Cavaliers also had their worst shooting performance of the season at 32.6 percent.
"Shooting is a funny thing," head coach Tony Bennett notes. "We always say don't be totally defined by if your shot is going in or not, effect the game in other areas."
The 'Hoos three-point shooting was especially attrocious, just 1 of 14 from behind the arc.
Sammy Zeglinski will try to break out of his personal slump tonight, the senior is 2 of 17 (11.8 percent) from three-point range over his past three games.
"Without a doubt I want him, when it's a rhythm shot, to take it and have a short memory. You have to as a shooter," Bennett said. "We'll keep working to get him those shots, keep him confident, but I want him to impact the game in a number of areas and be very complete."
Virginia is 15-3 overall this season, with a record of 2-2 in ACC play. Boston College (7-12, 2-3) has lost two in a row entering the night.
