The Virginia Cavaliers basketball team is climbing the national polls, up to number 16 this week following the win over Miami on Saturday night. They've also got the ACC's player of the week in Mike Scott.
Scott, the senior averaged almost 18 points and 9 rebounds a game in wins over LSU and the Hurricanes last week. This marks the third time in four weeks he's been honored by the conference.
Scott and the rest of the Cavaliers have now won 12 straight games entering Thursday night's road test at Duke, but Tony Bennett's troops are simply trying to keep things in perspective as they hit the meat of the schedule in the coming weeks.
