The Virginia Tech and Virginia football programs were each represented on the Associated Press' 2011 All-America Team released on Wednesday.
Hokie running back David Wilson was named to the second team. The junior is fifth in the country in rushing yards with 1,627 on the season.
Cavalier left guard Austin Pasztor was also named to the second team. He is the first UVa player to be named to the Associated Press' All-America team since Eugene Monroe was also a second-team honoree in 2008.
Both players were first team All-ACC selections.
Wilson joins Ryan Williams, Kevin Jones and Lee Suggs as the only Tech running backs to be named All-Americans by a recognized organization.
Wilson also earned All-America honors in track and field last spring, placing sixth in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships. He becomes the first player in school history to earn an All-American nod in both football and track.
