The Virginia Tech men's basketball team has won five straight games, in that stretch Jeff Allen has recorded a double-double in four of those games.
There is no doubt that the senior big man is talented, but with very few fresh bodies on the bench to replace Allen when he gets in foul trouble, Big Number Zero has become adept at staying on the floor lately, a must if the Hokies are going to continue their winning ways.
When Allen is on the floor, he fills the entire stat sheet. Allen is in the Top 20 in scoring in Hokie history and top five all-time in steals, blocks, and rebounds.
"Coach did a good job of mixing out defenses up so Jeff doesn't have to worry about getting them fouls. We can just go to a 1-3-1 or the 2-3 which we have been playing real good so we have some other things we can fall back on so Jeff doesn't have to change his game around," said Malcolm Delaney.
"When you look at the depth of his game and different ways he affects the game, how can you not say he is not going to be one of the most productive players in the history of the school," said Seth Greenberg.
