Monday, Virginia Tech's Jeff Allen was named the ACC's Player of the Week. Allen's versatility has been huge for a Hokies team that has been decimated by injuries as they enter the meat of the ACC schedule starting Thursday night at North Carolina.
Allen now has one of his own, a nagging groin injury, which makes his solid play of late even more impressive, as the senior from DC has finally started to live up to his potential. But his practice time has been limited to about 30 minutes each day.
However, both Allen and Coach Greenberg expect that the injury won't keep him out of any games.
