Virgnia Tech fans are pretty serious about their Hokie gear.
One group of Tech alums went to the extreme a few years ago. They expect a hundred people at their tailgates now, which include a live DJ.
The decor must be maroon and orange.
Some is made by hand; the rest is bought and accumulated over the years.
Jason Hamby: "You have to brand yourself," says Tech fan Jason Hamby. "People have to know where you're coming from and who you're supporting. If you look around here, from our tents to our Hokie boards are Hokie painted."
From grills and tents to food and even the cups and napkins, the Hokie spirit can be seen everywhere you look.
Thursday night, however, you'll likely find more orange than maroon at the game.
It was an Orange Effect night in Blacksburg.
