Virginia Tech and Virginia meet for the 94th time on Saturday at Lane Stadium, where the Hokies will be playing for their postseason lives. The Hokies hope to extend their bowl streak to 20 straight seasons. From an outsider's perspective, this weekend's battle for the Commonwealth Cup wouldn't seem to have much juice. But for the Hokie players, there is still plenty to play for, not the least of which is their bowl eligibility, against a team that they love to hate.
"Sometimes things get a little physical and I've always said, even though you're playing against your friends, it really doesn't matter," said Tech linebacker Jack Tyler. "You're on the opposite team and there's gonna be bloodshed. It's one of those games that we all come here to play and it's gonna be fun."

Add / View comments | Discussion FAQas bad as they've played all season, a bowl would be crazy to invite them. even if they get invited they should turn it down. people who go to those games would like to see an interesting game and to see tech get stomped again would make fans who paid good money really upset. so hopefully tech will stay home.
Tech won the game, but that was after they held the recievers jersey and intercepted the pass!. Logan Thomas thinks he is a quarterback, but its only in his dreams. He will never make it in the NFL. Tech had the worst season at 6-6, so there is nothing to brag about. As far as a bowl bid, if Tech gets a bid, they will surely get their butts kicked once again as they have all season!
I'm rooting for my favorite team: ABT (Anybody But Tech)!
