Smoked turkey legs have become a staple at Virginia Tech.

They have been the must-have item for at least the past decade.

Lane Stadium sells about 1,500 each game.

And they are normally sold out by fourth quarter, if not before.

"It's the best place in the country to get an authentic turkey leg,” said Blake Corbitt, a vendor. "Here we always sell out. I don't know how many we get but before halftime we are normally sold out."

ESPN and Southern Living magazine have caught wind of how popular the Turkey Leg is at Virginia Tech home games, with many fans buying them to take home for a late-night snack or dinner the next day.
