Eastern Montgomery has been the class of the Three Rivers District this season. The Mustangs were trying to finish off an unbeaten regular season Friday night, and they didn't get much of a challenge from Auburn.
East Mont getting started early. Brad Wooten fields the punt at his own 40, cuts back up field and weaves his way 30 yards on the nice return to set up Shawn Christian and company.
Christian drops back to pass, but he can't find a receiver, so he takes off on a 24 yard pickup and it was first and goal Mustangs at the 6.
On the next play, Michael Shelor goes in on the score, and it was 7-zip Mustangs. On the next series, Christian to Shelor in the flat. He finds some wide open spaces and turns it into a 57 yard touchdown play. Eastern Montgomery on cruise control up 14 to nothing still early in the first.
The Mustangs weren't finished. Christian to Julian Stewart, and he drags two Eagles into the endzone on the score. Eastern Montgomery wins it 55 to 0. The Mustangs are the top seed in Division One.
