We get the party started in Bedford where Liberty hosted Brookville in the Region III, Division Three finals. It was a rematch of the Seminole District regular season contest that the Bees won 28 to 14. That one was at Stinger Stadium though.
Where there is smoke there is fire. First quarter, Anthony Reynolds all Flames. He had 83 yards rushing on 13 carries in the game, 21 big ones comes here. But he fumbles! No problem.
Thomas Clark picks it up and goes the other 50 yards for the games first touchdown. Just like the match-up earlier in the year. Liberty jumps out to an early lead 9-0.
The Minutemen playing some stellar defense. Michael Bowyer picks up the fumble, and it appears that Liberty jumps out to a 15-3 lead. However, the call is overturned! Liberty Head Coach Chris Watts can not believe it.
Brookville takes advantage of the momentum. Brookville takes a 10-9 halftime lead. Becraft a good effort. He was twelve for twenty-one with 131 yards passing.
Second half the Bee's swarm. Deshonn Foxx scores his first of two second half touchdowns. He also had an interception.
Brookville scores 26 unanswered and advance to the state semi-finals following the 26-9 win!
