Bath County and Covington, neigbors in the Highlands, warmed things up this week at Boodie Albert Stadium in Covington. It was youth night in Covington and the rec kids got to dream big on the big field.

The Chargers tried an onside kick that was unsuccesful to start the game and Troy Helton made 'em pay.  He hit Brandon Phillips for 26 yards to the 20 yard line on the first play from scrimmage. Five plays later on fourth and goal, Luke Moye threw to Helton in the left flat and he strolled in for the touchdown and the Cougars were on the board 7-nothing.

The defense stopped the Chargers on down and Moye got it done again.  He went across the middle to Phillips who laid out to make the grab. On the first play of the second quarter, Helton ran the option off the right side and scored from 25 yards out.  Covington rolled to the 34 to 7 win.
