The Cave Spring Knights picked up a momentum building district win last week. Tim Fulton's team was trying to keep the mojo going Friday night at home against Blacksburg.
QB Conner Baker got a late first half TD pass to Jordan Bryant, that gave the Knights a 14-7 lead headed into the break.
Moving into the late stages, Blacksburg trying to even things up, QB Caleb Bornstedt took off from 8 yards out, he found the zone and the PAT knotted this one at 14 in the 4th.
With a minute left to play, James Jackson shouldered the load, taking the rock 12 yards inside the 1, that would set up the game winner.
It was Jackson again from a yard out, Cave Spring kept its slim River Ridge hopes alive with the hard fought 21 to 14 win over Blacksburg.
