In our only game with two area teams matching-up against one another.
12-0 Brookville visiting 9 and 3 Cave Spring.
Sam Wright's 4-yard touchdown put Cave Spring up 7-0 in the first quarter.
Fast-forward to the third quarter and Brookville took a 14-7 lead. The Bees' big man, Korren Kirven, hurt his ankle and would not return to the game.
Later in the drive, Brookville added to its lead. Kendall Becraft hit Guy Morris for an 8 yard touchdown reception, making it 21-7 Bees.
Brookville wasn't done.
After a blocked punt, the first play from scrimmage turns into 7 more. Becraft connected with Tyler Pitts on a 40 yard touchdown catch to put the Bees ahead by 21.
But Cave Spring made it interesting.
The Knights scored two touchdowns in less than a minute to make it a one score game heading into the fourth.
They traded touchdowns again, but Brookville got a big interception from Anthony Calloway that led to a field goal.
Brookville holds-off Cave Spring to win it 38-27.
