It was a monumental showdown between unbeaten teams at Northside, the 11 and 0 Vikings hosting 11 and 0 Brookville in the third straight playoff meeting between the two schools.  The winner to hoist the Region III, Division 3 Trophy.
It was a battle between two undefeated, district champs in Northside and Brookville, playing for the region title and a spot in the state semifinals. Northside finds the endzone first when Adam Hardister connects with Todd Dunbar on the 45 yard touchdown reception on the Vikings second possession of the game. Brookville steps-up their pass defense the next time Northside has the ball. Mark Boyd picks-off Hardister's pass on the 12 but the Bees can't turn it into any points. Not to be outdone, the Vikings get an INT of their own. Will Holiday gets the pick on the 38. The Vikings charge all the way to the one on the ensuing drive, but the Bees come-up with a huge stop. Jeremy WIlliams can't get across the goal-line on 4th and goal from the one. Brookville takes over on downs.  The Bees show some offensive life right before the half. The big man, Korren Kirven, bulls in from a yard out as time expires and we're tied at 7 at the break.

Korren Kirven, Brookville Lineman, "It was important because we didn't want to be down 7- zero at halftime knowing that they're getting the ball back and we just had to come out and play hard."

Jeff Woody, Brookville Head Coach, "That touchdown right before the half gave us tremedous momentum. When they walk off the field heads down and we walk off the field heads high, it really makes a difference and we were ready to go in that second half."

The Bees' momentum carries over to the second half on the Kendall Becraft quarterback keepers from a yard out, giving Brookville the 14-7 lead. They keep rolling after that. Defense and offense on a mission. Becraft finds Mark Boyd on the 32 yard touchdown reception and that is enough to seal the win. Brookville tops Northside 21-7.
