Cave Spring and Hidden Valley are both headed to the postseason.  The Knights and Titans share a home field at Bogle Stadium in Roanoke County and Friday night they shared something else -- an outpouring of support for Cave Spring linebacker and punter Zac Foutz, who was diagnosed in the last week with meningitis and remains hospitalized.

The Knights’ student body displayed the banner for Foutz for the entire game.

We pick things up in the second half, the Titans were leading a defensive battle 7-3. Jake Kite got the shotgun handoff on 3rd-and-25 and he cut upfield and gained 40 big ones for Titan Nation, all the way to the Cave Spring 20, unfortunately the drive would stall out.

But the Knights would go three-and-out, and Walker Brand would finish the ensuing drive off from 2 yards out. The touchdown gave Hidden Valley a 14-3 lead late in the third.

Cave would cut the lead to one possession as Daniel Seymour nailed a 21-yard field goal to make it 14-6 early in the 4th.

Brand would extend the lead for the Titans - he took the 4th down handoff from the Knights’ six. The score gave Hidden Valley a commanding 21-6 lead.

Cave Spring would do all they could. On 4th-and-8, Connor Baker fired a bullet to Jack Woody for the touch. The two-pointer was no good, but this ultimately was not enough.  Hidden Valley takes the battle of Bogle 21 to 12.
