The Glenvar Highlanders were in with a win Friday night. Eastern Montgomery stood in the way of a playoff berth, the first for Glenvar since 2005.
Glenvar players and coaches were rocking the pink tonight for breast cancer awareness.
On Glenvar's first possesion, Jacob Mabry handed off to Bradley Muse. He ran it 17 yards pushing the Highlanders into Eastern Montgomery territory.
A couple of plays later, Mabry gives it up to Seth Dooley who ran it up the middle for the touchdown. That put Glenvar up 7 to 0.
Eastern Montgomery answers with a TD before Muse got the call again, evaded some tackles and gained 23 yards putting Glenvar on the 13 yard line.
Two plays into the 2nd quarter, Mabry threw it up to Shaquile Bonds for an 8 yard T-D and it was 14-6. \
The Highlanders won it 63 to 6.
