North Cross tangled with old foe Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot from just outside Richmond Friday night.
The Raiders tried to get to two and one on the young season.
Early on, they gave the ball to Antoine Martin. He found a hole in the defense, and raced for good yardage inside the visitors 20 yard line.
Just a few plays later, Thomas Weaver hit Brandon Cochran, and Cochran did the rest. He got to the endzone with some fancy footwork to put the Raiders on top 6 to 3, but it wouldn't hold up.
Blessed Sacrament had an answer. Marquis Smith made the catch and then fought for the goal line.
North Cross wins 32 to 28.
