Dan River took on William Byrd Friday night.
Byrd was on top 13 to 6 at the half. And on the 2nd half kickoff, the Wildcats can't handle the squib kick and the Terriers recover.
The Terriers take advantage of that turnover. Juan Lopez bounces to the outside and punches it in on the score, and just like that it was 20 to 6.
Dan River had an answer though as the Wildcats tried to stay in it. Trey Edmunds changes the scoreboard again. Edmunds rips off a 65 yard gallop breaking tackles along the way. He goes the distance. But the two point conversion failed. It was 20 to 12 with Byrd still hanging on.
At the end of the third quarter, Justin Gunter tightens things up even more. He tiptoes in on the 10 yard touchdown. It was 20 to 18 at that point, and the Terriers hang on for the 20 to 18 win.
