The Blue Demons hosted Floyd County Friday night.  It was the first of two straight Three Rivers opponents for Tim Cromer's team to open the season.

Christiansburg came back from halftime up 26 to 6 and loaded for more Buffalo.

Dorian Harris fielded the second half kickoff at the 30, found a seam and then popped it to the outside out to the 49 yard line to give the Floyd faithful something to cheer about.

But the Buffs couldn't move the ball, and Christiansburg took advantage.  Brendan Motley had the Demons on the move.  He handed it off to Greg Lee.  Lee barreled for 14 hard-earned yards and a Blue Demons first down.

Motley then tossed to Zach Snell, and the play went for 19 more Christiansburg yards.  Snell shaked and baked, broke a tackle at the two yard line and got the touchdown.  Christiansburg was on top 33 to 6 late in the third quarter.

Early in the 4th, Darius Kelly put this one away.  He took the punt, cut up field and avoided the coverage team, and slip slided down the sideline, directing traffic for a 65 yard return to paydirt.

Christiansburg whipped Floyd County 40 to 12.
