Next week, Northside gets Salem at home. But Friday night, Burt Torrence's team hoping to avoid the look ahead, and take care of business against an improving Blacksburg team.

Adam Hardister rolls out of the pocket and connects with a wide open Ryan Bowden on a 15 yard catch. Bowden breaks a tackle and works his way to the 3 yard line.
Jeremy Williams would punch it in on the 3 yard tally on the very next play. Northside with some breathing room up 20 to 7 over the Bruins.
They would add to the lead on the next possession thanks to a solid punt return. Shawn Joiner steps up and knocks it thru the uprights from 41 yards out. That's pretty stout for a 23 to 7 advantage.
The Vikes put it away later when Hardister looks off the defense and finds Sam Edmonds on the slant for a 17 yard pitch and catch touchdown. Northside all over Blacksburg Friday night 37-14 setting up next week's date with Salem.
