Radford took on Pulaski County Friday night.  They call it the Battle of the Bridge, and Kenneth Dobson Stadium was packed to the gills.

The Cougars were eyeing a comeback down 26 to 7 to start the third quarter.  The defense did its part.

Pierce Rigney stripped Radford quarterback Dontae Carter and returned it on the great effort play inside the Bobcats 15.

A couple plays later, it was on.  On 4th and 1, Cody Long carved up the Radford defense on the touchdown, getting the Cougars to within 26-15 after the two pointer.

Jemail Payne kept the momentum on the Pulaski side.  He went to the corner and won a foot-race to the zone.  He went 41 yards on the play and we had a ballgame at 26-23.

But Radford iced things under pressure, marched right back down the field.  Carter hit Josh Smith on the dart to the two yard line.

Carter finished things off on the short touchdown.  Radford pulled the mild upset, beating Pulaski 32 to 29.
