To the River Ridge where Salem was without 6 starters tonight at Cave Spring, thanks to various bouts with the flu and food poisoning. The Knights were licking their chops, and looking for their first win over the Spartans since the 2001 season.
Cave had the spring in their step as they trotted off the field with a 21-0 lead entering the break. And in the second half, it was more of the same. Future Liberty Flame Josh Woodrum connects with the speedster Adam Anderson, this one goes for 44 yards and a touchdown, and the Knights were shocking the Spartans, up 28-0 in the third.
Salem needed some big time second half magic, Adam McGarrell finds Clint Peregoy for the touchdown and the Spartans were on the board at 28-6.
