The Mustangs welcomed Floyd County to town this week. The Buffs Dorian Harris rushed for a whopping 345 yards and 4 TD's last week in a win over Glenvar. East Mont dropped its district opener to Radford last week.
Harris got right back to work, finding the endzone from 7 yards out for the first score of the game. After another Harris TD, for the first play of the 2nd quarter, James Fields threw a two-yard strike to Alex Phillips. Mustangs down 14-6 after a failed extra point. They went for the onside kick, and got the ball right back. Two plays later Daryl Manns was spinning out of tackles and gone for the touchdown. It was a nice run from the 5-foot-4 freshman.
But East Mont could not contain Harris. He cut this run back to the middle and coasted in from 46 yards out. The Buffaloes won this one going away, 57 to 34.
