Levi Mullins and the Glenvar Highlanders were in Floyd this week, hoping that quarterback Levi Mullins could continue his streak of at least 2 TD passes in every game this season.  Floyd County was trying to get back on track following their loss to Fort Chiswell.

Glenvar and Floyd were also with their district opener this week. The Buffalo fans were out in full-force for this Three Rivers District battle.

Floyd made a big statement on their opening drive. Matt Bary handed-off to Dorian Harris, who broke a tackle, bulldozed the next defender and cut-back across the field. He went down the right side for a 68 yard touchdown run, and the Buffaloes took the 7- nothing lead.

They got it back soon after an interception from Bary and then it was Harris again finding the endzone. This time Harris hurdled a defender on the way to the 8-yard touchdown. It was 14- nothing Floyd County. Glenvar cut the lead in half when Clay Fransisco plunged in from a yard out on the last play of the first quarter.

In the second, there was more from Harris on their first play from scrimmage after that Highlanders TD. He broke free and went 75 yards to the house. The Buffaloes took the 21-7 lead.

Glenvar made this one a game, but Floyd still pulled out the 41-37 win.
