This week pitted two Seminole foes in Jefferson Forest and Amherst County. The Lancers won the earlier meeting in a rout.
Amherst's Marquis Brown got the festivities started for the Lancers, as he broke to the near sideline picking up 35 yards before getting knocked out at the 5 yard line. Two plays later, Brown went to work again finding the endzone and an early Lancer lead. They're up 7 to nothing.
Jefferson Forest's David Jacobs went to work through the air finding Dominiquie Royal up the middle of the field on a 22 yard gain and a swing in momentum for the Cavaliers.
The Cavs went to work on the ground and David Aveson shed quite a few tackles but would not be stopped as he finds the endzone on a 34 yard touchdown run.
After an 85 yard drive the Lancers Sidney Sandidge found the house on a 8 yard run giving the lead back to the Lancers 14 to 10 early in the 2nd quarter.
Momentum contiued for the Lancer who won over Jefferson Forest, 44 to 10 the final.
