JF's Ryan Crist got things cooking for the Cavaliers from the start of the second half. He looked down the near sideline and the jump ball went to the Cavaliers as Cody Loveday came down with the ball in the end zone. The Cavs came creeping back only down by 8 early in the third quarter.

Crist went to work again through the air. This time he found David Jacobs on the 28 yard completion and the Cavs were on the move. Later in the drive, David Aveson used some fancy footwork as he cut the rug through the Liberty secondary and found the end zone and it was an 8 point game again.
On fourth and inches at the 2 yard line Austin Porter punched in another six and the Minutemen went up by 14 with 5:11 to go in the game.
Liberty knocked off Jefferson Forest 36 to 28.
