This week in Staunton, the Liberty Minutemen represented the Seminole District in a Region 3 Division 3 matchup against Robert E. Lee, making its eighth consecutive playoff appearance.

The Minutemen were fired up after the ride to Staunton. They took no time on their first drive faking out the defense as Austin Porter dashed 49 yards for the score and Liberty was on top early.

The Leemen were trying for the big play of their own but Liberty's Jamaal Preston wrestled down quarterback Joe Moore on the sack. After the punt, Liberty worked the ground again.  Matthew Smith rumbled in and it was 14 to nothing at that point. Tyler Smallwood broke the ice for Lee.  He made a big play, outrunning the Liberty defense for 6.

But Liberty pulled away late to move on to next week with the 36 to 14 win.
