Lord Botetourt High School football coach Tater Benson has resigned.
Benson was the Cavaliers’ head coach for six seasons where he had a 20-43 record.
Lord Botetourt made the playoffs three times in Benson's tenure.
The Cavaliers finished this season with a 3-7 record, including a 1-4 mark in the Blue Ridge District.
Benson will continue teaching special education at Lord Botetourt.
