The Liberty Minutemen duked it out with Martinsville.  The Bulldogs were fresh off an open date, while the Minutemen were still dealing with some growing pains from inexperience, losing to Staunton River last week for the first time in 12 meetings.

Early on, how about the trickery.  Breon Brawley on the halfback pass to Josh Martin on the deep touchdown hookup.  Liberty jumped out front 7 to nothing.

Turnovers were the story of the first half.  The Bulldogs careless on the option.  Martin was "Johnny on the Spot," recovering for the Minutemen.

The Bulldogs later went to their own bag of tricks, but Cedric Tarpley can't hit Trey Hairston in the endzone.

Right before the half, the Bulldogs Zack Corcoran drills the 37 yard field goal.  The Bulldogs go to beat Liberty in a shootout 44 to 34.
