The speed of Patrick Henry has been well documented this season but last week it was the Patriots defense that rose to the occasion in a big home win over Pulaski County.  This week PH faced its third River Ridge District opponent of the season in the Blacksburg Bruins.

The Bruins in some trouble down 28 to 7 at the break. On 4th and 2, they go for it but it was a bad snap and PH recovered on the turnover. On first and goal from the three, quarterback David Prince handed it off to Trevor Mike who got the corner and he make it into the endzone.  The Patriots were on cruise control and up 35-7

Later in the 3rd, Patriots were again with the ball from midfield.  Prince from the shotgun bobbled the snap, droped it, picked it up and hurled it down field where it was picked off by Blacksburg's Ryan Sims who turned in a nifty little return back to the 41 yard line.

In the fourth quarter, the Bruins QB Kaleb Bohrnstedt tried to make something happen.  He was forced to run from 2 defenders but spotted a small window and threw a strike to Aidan Ball in the endzone.  Patrick Henry went on to win it 35 to 13.
