The Rustburg Red Devils were after their second straight 2 and 0 start, but Coach Buddy Brown and the Tunstall Trojans stood in the way Friday night.
It didn't look like the Devils would continue their streak at the beginning of the third quarter. The Trojans lead 10 to nothing. But they tried to get back into it.
Randall Jones takes off on a 35 yard scamper, before eventually getting taken down by Peyton Farrier on the 35 yard line. But the Devils seemed to be in good shape.
That is until the Tunstall defense tightened up and forced a field goal try. It was no good as Rustburg continued to sputter on offense. Now it's the Trojans turn.
Evan Huffman quickly got Tunstall in gear, taking the toss and rumbling and stumbling 40 yards. They're not gonna get him until he gets inside the ten yard line.
But again, the defense made a stop when it counted. Tunstall kicked a field goal for a 13-zip lead and knocked off Rustburg 21 to 20.
