Staunton River and Jefferson Forest met way back in the opening week of the season in August.  The Cavaliers won that meeting 42 to 24, but the Golden Eagles were looking for the equalizer Friday night after winning two games just to make the playoffs and then pulling the surprise last week at Harrisonburg in round one.

The Cavaliers on the march when Tyler Fowler took off on a 30 yard run.

Fowler sniffed the endzone a play after another long run had been called back.

Jefferson Forest was on top 14-nothing.

Staunton River went the other way to go forward.  DeShaun Martin reversed fields, then came all the way back across the field for about a 30-yard pickup, but he ran almost 80 to get 30.

Later in the drive, Trevon White out of the jumbo formation ran off the right side for the TD from 5 yards out. The Eagles cut the deficit in half 14 to 7 late in the third quarter.

JF now salting this one away.  Marcus Jones hooked up with Cody Loveday for 13 yards on a big conversion for the Cavaliers.

Two plays later, Fowler back at it again.

A five yard run for 6 more straight up the middle.

The Cavaliers will play another week with a 21 to 7 win.
