There's a new era at North Cross.  Stephen Alexander takes over the head coaching reins from Lee Johnson, who left for William Fleming.

Alexander served as an assistant with an NFL Europe team in Italy back in the spring, and upon returning to the states, resigned from his dad's staff at Virginia Episcopal to take the Raiders' job.

He's already circled September 24th on the calendar when North Cross plays VES.

"I can't really comprehend what it's gonna be like right now.  We've got a lot of obstacles to encounter before that day.  But I am looking forward to it.  I've got a great relationship with my father, a great relationship with my brother, who's a quarterback at VES.  It'll be a fun day, but once that whistle blows and the battle starts between the lines, it'll be just like another game, I think," said Alexander.

Alexander has added Shannon Taylor to his staff.  They inherit a Raiders' team that returns seven starters on each side of the ball.  It's been a smooth transition, especially considering all the new formations that Alexander has introduced.
