William Fleming High School football coach Lee Johnson has resigned.
Johnson coached the Colonels for the past three seasons.
He compiled a record of 2-28 in his three seasons at William Fleming, including a 1-9 mark in 2012.
The Colonels' lone victory of 2012 was their first in the school's new stadium.
A Roanoke City Schools spokesperson said that principal Archie Freeman will work with a committee to hire a new football coach. The members of the committee have not been decided yet.
Johnson will keep his teaching position at William Fleming. he had previous head coaching stints at Glenvar and North Cross.
