This week in Daleville where Lord Botetourt tried to run its record to a perfect 5 and 0 tonight against Alleghany in one of our classic all time rivalries.

It just needed former coaches Doug Ward and Kenny Higgins to spice things up a bit.

The Mountaineers made the trip from Covington to try and hand LB their first loss of the season but the Cavaliers were not going to get upset on their Hall of Fame and Homecoming night.

On Alleghany's first possession-- and first play from scrimmage, Nick Ferrell hit Daniel Persinger for a 16-yard pick-up, but the drive stalled shortly after and Botetourt took the field for their first drive of the game.

Nick Webb kept it himself and dove-in for the 26-yard touchdown run. They went for 2 to make it an 8-oh lead.

LB stopped the Mountaineers again on defense thanks to Daniel Rader. He got his second sack in 2 drives, forcing Alleghany to punt.

The Cavaliers went to work again, turning their next drive into more points. Chris Thompson from 14 yards out, capped-off a 94 yard drive in about 2 minutes.

LB rolled to the 51- nothing win
