CAMPBELL CO., Va. -

In Rustburg, emotions were high as Red Devils head coach Jack Baker took on his former team, the Alleghany Mountaineers, and his son Jonathan who is still on the Alleghany roster.

Neither team got on the scoreboard until the second quarter.

Alleghany's Kendall Kessinger connected with Zach Carter on short pass. Carter turned it upfield for a 15-yard gain and a Mountaineer first down.

A few plays later, Alleghany cashed in. Kessinger with another nice pass. This time it was Christian Carter. Mountaineers were up 7 to nothing.

The Red Devils were looking to respond. Anthony Loveless called his own number. He kept the Red Devils drive going with some nifty moves there. The drive eventually ended with Brent Thacker who took the handoff. He took the long route for a 5-yard touchdown run.

That tied things at 7. The Red Devils poured it on in a 28 to 10 win
