It was homecoming this week in Buchanan where James River hosted Bath County.  Sherman Austin fresh off a solid effort in an upset of Parry McCluer a week ago, has the Knights in position for a postseason berth. The king was quarterback Sherman Austin, while Carson Swoope took the honor of queen.

On the Knights' first play from scrimmage, Caleb Sink took the handoff and scooted 22 yards across midfield and into Bath County territory.

Four plays later, it was Sink again.  He rambled 40 yards through the defense.  They were not gonna get him until he got inside the Chargers five yard line.  James River punched it in from there on the very next play.

The Knights were back at work later.  It was Austin going in from a yard out and it was 14-nothing early in the second quarter.

Later in the half, Austin hit Patrick Schulz in the corner of the endzone right at the camera for 6 more.  He got his feet in to make it 20 to nothing James River.

A few minutes later, it was Daniel Hevener off right tackle from four yards out and the Knights are rolling up 28 to nothing late in the first half.

Austin capped a solid first two quarters as he scampered 18 yards to walk in again.  James River whipped Bath County tonight 41 to 24 the final.
