SHAWSVILLE, Va. -

In Eastern Montgomery on Friday night another new coach made his debut at a new school. Brian Lee was roaming the Mustangs' sideline against Bath County after replacing Mark Poston, who left for Nelson County.

The Mustangs were eager to make an impression on their new coach Friday night.
East Mont's defense made an early statement. Alex Phillips intercepted Tyler Robertson's pass at the 5 yard line to end a Bath County threat.

The Chargers rose up though, not only getting a stop but swarming for the safety to get on the board first at 2-0.

Coach Will Fields watched his team then get the ball right back. On 4th-and-3 Owen Fry picked up six big yards to keep the drive alive.

Two plays later, Ben Wolfe went on the keeper and took it up the right side for the Charger touchdown and an 8-0 lead. Bath ground up the clock in the second half to win a defensive slugfest 21-13.
